Short, because there isn't much to say.
Listing an app
You may submit an app you built or have the right to represent. One listing per domain. Submissions are read by a person and can be turned down without a detailed reason — usually it's a dead link, a parked domain, or a submission that isn't an app.
The badge
Free listings require a dofollow link to their hatchdir listing page, on the landing page submitted. We verify it before publication and roughly weekly afterwards. If it goes missing you get seven days' notice by email before the listing is hidden. Hidden is not deleted — restoring the link restores the listing.
Payment
Featured launches are a single payment. Site-wide sponsorships are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time from Stripe's billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. If we decline a paid listing during review, you're refunded in full.
Votes and notes
One vote per account per listing. Buying, trading or automating votes gets the listing removed and the account closed. Notes are yours; keep them about the app.
Removal
We remove listings that turn out to be malware, deceptive, or illegal, and we do it without notice. Everything else gets an email first.
No warranty
hatchdir is a directory, not an endorsement. We don't audit the apps listed here and can't vouch for them. The service is provided as-is.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects existing listings, we'll email everyone with a live listing before the change takes effect.
